Raymond H. Stimpert - August 15, 2004

The funeral for Raymond H. Stimpert will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk, the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or to an organization of the donor's choice.

Mr. Stimpert, 91, a lifetime area farmer, died at 1:56 p.m., Sunday (Aug. 15, 2004) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk, where he was a resident.

He was born Aug. 18, 1912, in Flanagan, a son of Edward and Elsie Jones Stimpert. On Jan. 12, 1941, he married Esther M. Barth in Minonk. She died May 21, 2001.

Surviving are two sons, Dean (Carol) Stimpert and Don (Marie) Stimpert, both of Dana. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Laurie (Kevin) Bailey, Reeds, Mo.; Todd (Amy) Stimpert, Kevin Stimpert and Brian Stimpert, all of Minonk; Felicia Stimpert, Toluca; Michelle Stimpert, Joliet; and Victor Stimpert, Dana; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by a sister, Florence Kelsey.

Mr. Stimpert was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
